Who is Imaan Chowdhury?
Born in Toledo OH, 1983 to a Bangladeshi Dad, and Iranian/Indian Mom. Imaan went to Kent Ohio and got a bachelors degree in Chemistry with concentration in Biochem. After years of studying and work, Imaan is a DOCTOR!!! (In Imaan’s own words: “whoo hoo!!”) Imaan is starting Internal Medicine in Brooklyn NY.

NEEM: In one sentence: what is a “real” woman?
Being comfortable in your own skin.
NEEM: What does being a South Asian woman mean to you?
Eating good desi food and wasting 3 hours watching a bollywood film and fantasizing about marrying Amir Khan. Serious answer; Recognizing the beauty in cutlure and south asian values and weaving it into my every day life.
NEEM: So… if you were a character on TV, who would you be?
House – a brilliant, confident, witty doctor.
NEEM: If you had to pick someone to play you in a movie… who would it be?
Angelina Jolie

Doctor/Model – Its what my roomate calles me
Dodel is a goofy name my roommate came up with. I was telling her how I’ve never taken solo pictures before and I can’t believe that I am treating Heart Attacks on a Friday night, then being a “model” on Saturday morning…crazy!
Then she said…you can be a doctor AND a model..oooh ooh…we can call you a DODEL.
